After creating your own account, you can state your stolen item(s) on the international Missing-Art website. This registration significantly increases the likelihood of tracing your property.
Registration is free of charge. There are no charges involved in this initial enrolment.
Collaboration with authorities, insurers, and auction houses, as well as implementation of other databases world-wide is a fact. However, Missing-art always remains alert and open to the expansion and enhancement of quality.
Counterfeit art is being produced on an increasing scale and forms a major cash-cow for fraudulent producers and dealers. In other words, a serious problem for potential purchasers. The counterfeit page includes an overview of counterfeit art that is currently in circulation.
Should you doubt the authenticity and/or reliable provenance of any art or antiques, please contact us at any time by telephone or e-mail.

By filling in the fields on this page you can register the counterfeit work(s). However, you must first create an account before registering. Do you doubt the authenticity of any “artwork” you have acquired; or are you considering buying artwork, but you wish first to be sure of its authenticity? Missing-Art operates in collaboration with renowned (forensic) experts, who can verify the authenticity of your artwork.
At your request, we can place pictures of your stolen artwork on the Internet by means of an Art-Alert. These will remain visible for one month, at a fee of € 150,= per object, and visibility can be extended each month at the same rate. Moreover, within 24 hours our subsite Art-Alert.net passes on the information to an extensive international network of more than 10,000 auction houses, galleries, museums, experts, traders, etc.
All over the world, companies, private persons, museums and churches are confronted daily with the theft of art and antiques. In many cases, this is reported to the authorities. Unfortunately, in most cases the registration of the stolen object is limited to an entry in the regional or, at best, national registers. Therefore, much of the stolen art crosses the national borders within 24 hours, thus disappearing in no time.
You can choose for only a mention on the Missing Art site of course. But if you have a serious detection or knowledge of whereabouts of missing or stolen art, our worldwide operating art detectives will increase the chances on retrieval considerably. Quick action is often necessary!
The frequently overburdened police authorities do not give the greatest priority to the detection of stolen art and antiques. Therefore, the likelihood of your art and antiques being detected is extremely small. Are you also a victim of art theft, or have some of your art or antiques gone missing in another manner? Then register this on Missing-Art.com.
Do you have knowledge about stolen or missing art? Report it to us. We will try to find the rightful owner. We will negotiate about a return premium for you.
